Although she has adopted Midland, TX as her home, Lauren Sykes grew up in Mobile, Alabama where she graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Marketing Management degree. After college, she moved to Birmingham, AL where she helped launch and expand a satellite office as Business Development Manager for a technology recruiting firm. As luck would have it, Lauren met her husband Nate, of Midland, TX at an event one evening in Alabama. After swearing she would never move to Midland, they were married a few years later and roots were planted in West Texas.

Shortly after her move, she decided to obtain her real estate license. She joined Legacy Real Estate and reached Bronze Producer status in her first year, and was fortunate enough to continue to grow her business mainly by referrals. After a few years of working alongside each other, Lauren and Nicole decided to combine their resources and formed the Duncan + Sykes Real Estate Group at Fathom Realty.

She loves spending time outside with her husband and their two children. She tries to return back to her favorite place, the Alabama coast, a few times a year to smell the salt air, eat copious amounts of oysters, and watch sunsets over the gulf -- with a margarita or glass of rosè in hand, of course.

Lauren attributes much of her success to her Alabama roots; she has the ability to cultivate and foster lasting relationships, and more importantly, aims to make her clients feel like family. She’s very communicative and you can expect her to deliver transparency, honesty, and 100% commitment until the end in every transaction. She also prides herself in being able to serve as a resource to clients that extends past the closing table.
